Construction
Layer 1
The Cover – Loom & Leaf’s quilted cover is made from 100% GOTS certified organic cotton. The surface is a soft, breathable, and durable material. It is made from a thistle barrier that creates a natural flame barrier — eliminating the need for dangerous chemical fire retardant sprays. It includes a Guardin® botanical antimicrobial fabric treatment and an organic damask bronze trim as a finishing touch.
Layer 2
Spinal Gel – This layer provides more than just a cooling element. A heavier concentration in the center 3rd of the mattress adds spinal support.
Layer 3
Memory foam – 5 lb. density memory is well beyond the industry average. It’s both supportive and pressure relieving. Loom & Leaf memory foam is CertiPUR-US certified to be free of harmful chemicals.
Layer 4
High-density base and transition foams provide added support stability.

Loom & Leaf is produced in both a relaxed firm and a firm model. These two options will cover the needs of most, but not all sleepers comfort needs. Neither mattress will provide the deep body hug of an ultra plush mattress. Your preferred sleep position plays a large role in determining comfort. We’ll explore which mattress may be best suited for each position.
On your back…
Most back sleepers require a firm to moderate feel. The idea is to stay in proper alignment but still have decent pressure relief. Loom & Leaf’s relaxed firm will accommodate the majority who sleep in this position. A larger individual with a greater BMI will be absorbed further into the mattress. In this case, the firm could be the answer.
On your side…
Side sleepers require a bit more conformity for the shoulders and hips. Unless you are someone who genuinely prefers a firmer feel, we recommend the relaxed firm. This mattress will accommodate most but not all side sleepers. Those who have greater pressure sensitivities might want to consider other alternatives.
On your stomach…
Stomach sleepers will typically require a firmer mattress. It’s important not to allow your back to dip too deep and cause lumbar pain. Depending on your personal firmness preference, either the firm or relaxed firm would be a good option. As previously stated, body mass plays a role here as well. A lighter individual will not sink as deep and may prefer the relaxed firm. Likewise, heavier sleepers often prefer the firmer option.

Who Will Like This Mattress
Those who like the pressure relief of memory foam but want limited sinkage will like this mattress.
If you sleep hot, Loom & Leaf will sleep cooler than most memory foam mattresses.
Couples will appreciate the limited motion transfer. This greatly reduces sleep partner disturbance.
Value seekers looking for a luxury mattress at a great price should consider Loom & Leaf.
Who Will Not Like This Mattress
If you like an ultra soft mattress with lots of body hug, this may not be your bed. The relaxed firm is the softest option. It should accommodate most but not all sleepers.
Those who don’t like all foam beds will steer clear of this mattress. Some people just like the feel of a coil spring better. It’s a personal preference.
