The Supreme offers a medium feel that should appeal to most but not all sleepers. Age, physical condition and personal preference also plays a role in determining the best feel for you.
On Your Back…
Most back sleepers will want a medium to firm mattress. Ideally you would want to maintain proper alignment but still have decent pressure relief. The Supreme is a medium that gravitates towards the soft side. On our backs, we found this mattress to have a nice conforming feel. It contours easily to the spine without compromising support.
On Your Side…
Side sleepers will want a bit more conformity for the shoulders and hips. While firmness and comfort can be quite subjective, the Supreme should have wide appeal. We found it contoured nicely to the spine and was quite comfortable while in this position.
On Your Stomach…
Stomach sleepers will typically want a firmer mattress to avoid having their backs dip too deep and causing lumbar pain. Due to its softer feel, the Supreme may not be the ideal mattress for a dedicated stomach sleeper.
Supreme Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Support: The Allswell Supreme offers better than average support and alignment.
- Low motion transfer: Pocketed coils and contouring foams limit partner disturbance.
- Sleeps cool: Graphite infused memory foam disperses heat while edge to edge coils allow for easy airflow.
- Pressure relief: We found this mattress to offer conforming, pressure relieving comfort.
- Great value: The Supreme is priced well below many comparable mattresses.
Cons:
- Only one comfort option. The Supreme’s softer medium feel will appeal to most but not all sleepers.
Who Will Like This Mattress
If you sleep hot, The Supreme should leave you feeling cool and comfortable.
Couples will appreciate the limited motion transfer. This greatly reduces sleep partner disturbance.
Value seekers looking for a luxury mattress at a reasonable price will like the Supreme.
Who Will Not Like This Mattress
If you like an ultra soft or very firm mattress, you may want to search elsewhere. The Supreme was intentionally designed to accommodate the middle range. It’s a common industry practice when a company produces only one firmness option. The goal is to appeal to the majority.
If you prefer an all foam mattress, the Supreme may feel a bit too structured for your taste.
Supreme Unboxing and Setup
The Supreme ships to your doorstep free of charge within a few days. While having a second set of hands is advisable, it is possible for one person to set this mattress up. Be careful though, the relatively small looking box is just under 100 lbs. But, once brought to your bedroom, set up is quick and simple. After removing from its box, place mattress on foundation or platform before opening. Next, unroll the wrapping and air will quickly surge into your bed. Carefully cut the remaining packaging and the Supreme will expand and take shape. Although you can lay on it right away, expect it to take a few hours to fully expand.
If you prefer, white glove delivery and setup is available for $99.
