Construction
Tuft & Needle Construction
Cover
The cover is a 40/60 blend of micro polyamide and polyester and polyester. This fabric is designed to prevent moisture build up and sleep cool.
Layer 1
T&N Adaptive: (3” of 2.9 lb density) While more supportive foams are available, this is a quality foam for the price point. T&N is polyurethane based and designed to “adapt” to different body types and sleep preferences. The objective was to produce a foam that has the bounce of latex with the pressure relief of memory foam. Meanwhile, heat wicking graphite and cooling gels help regulate sleep temperature.
Layer 2
Support foam: This 7” bottom layer of 1.8 lb. density foam provides stability for the comfort layer. A quality base is essential to overall support. Combined with T&N Adaptive, most sleepers will find adequate support.
Original Purple Mattress Construction
The Cover
The cover consists of polyester, viscose, and lycra. This soft, breathable fabric is designed to to increase airflow and regulate heat. The blend of materials does a nice job of wicking away moisture and keeping you cool. Lycra adds an element of stretchiness that allows for greater conformity and comfort.
Comfort Layer
Purple refers to this first layer as their Smart Comfort Grid. It’s a 2” layer of Hyper-elastic polymer that visually resembles a honeycomb. It’s the core of what gives the mattress its distinctive feel. This pressure sensitive grid’s design allows for even weight distribution and support. The grid is designed to relax under pressure points to provide both support and comfort. Air flows freely through the grid; which allows for a cooler night’s sleep as well.
Transition Layer
3.25” of 1.8 lb. density Poly foam offers plush transition support. It’s designed to ease your body into the denser, more structured base. It also increases the responsiveness of the comfort grid.
Base
4” of 2 lb. density polyurethane foam makes up the base. This foam provides additional support, structure and shape.
