Construction

The Allswell Mattress Cover

  • The cover is made of 400 gsm 90% Polyester and 10% Spandex. This fabric is soft to the touch and stretches for additional comfort. Appearance wise, we were quite impressed. Aesthetically, it has the rich, luxurious look of a high end mattress.
  • 75″ gel memory foam (open cell CoolFlow™  foam) is built into the quilt. This material has been shown to increase breathability.  In all, There are 3 layers of memory foam that give the Allswell a nice pressure relieving comfort feel.
  • 2″ 1.5lb polyurethane foam (30 ILD) acts as supportive transition foam above the coils.
  • 6″ individually wrapped coils limit motion detection. A heavier gauge is used around perimeter for stronger edge support. 0.75″
  • 3lb. Polyurethane base foam (32 ILD) provides additional structure and stability.

Layer 1

The Allswell Lux Hybrid’s built in topper is a combination of three different foams. While denser foams are available, this combination creates a nice contouring and pressure relief.

  • 1” of 2 lb memory foam (9ILD)
  • 0.25” of 1.5lb. super soft foam (20 ILD)
  • 0.25” of 1.125lb. super soft foam (20 ILD)

*Impression load deflection rating (ILD) is measured by pressing a 12-inch round disk into a 4-inch piece of foam until it presses 25% or one inch into the mattress surface. In layman’s terms, it measures firmness or softness.

Layer 2

  • 1” 2.75”lb. air flow foam – offers support and cooling.

Layer 3

  • 2.5” 1.7lb. super soft foam transitions to coil unit.
  • 7.5” of 13 gauge individually wrapped coil – Heavier than standard 14 – 16 gauge steel commonly used.
