Allswell Home has introduced three new mattress toppers to complement their popular bedding line. They recently provided us with samples of all three toppers for our evaluation. Our team put them all to the test to see just how comfortable they really are.
While both The Allswell Mattress and the Allswell Luxe Hybrid Mattress are solid values, each is sold in only one firmness level. These beds fall into a medium firm to medium range that accommodates most but, not all sleepers. Allswell’s mattress toppers add between 3” – 4” of body contouring foam. In essence, they expand the range of comfort options currently available. Toppers can be ordered and delivered with your original order or at a later date. If the mattress you chose ends up being too firm, the topper can soften the feel without compromising support.
Allswell’s toppers can be used with any mattress. Besides softening up a firm bed, they can revitalize an older mattress who’s foams have failed.
4” Memory Foam Mattress Topper Infused with Graphite and Copper
All three models came tightly rolled in a small box but quickly unfolded and took shape. The first thing we noticed about this particular model was how much softer it made The Allswell mattress feel. We still felt the same level of support but with more body contour. This extra conformity felt really nice while laying on our sides. There was however, a strong scent the first time we laid down on it. This was apparent in all three models. Nothing unusual for newly unpacked memory foam, but still worth noting. We decided to let the topper air out in a separate room for a night before actually sleeping on it. By the following day, the odor had dissipated to a barely noticeable level.
Anxious to give it a try, we slept on it the following night. What was impressive was how this topper was more than just a comfort layer. Unlike cheap egg crate toppers, it provided additional structure along with pressure relief. The top 2″ layer provides soft, contouring comfort, while the bottom 2” offer support. Adding this topper also reduced motion transfer. This is an extra bonus for couples who don’t want to disturb each other’s sleep. Lastly, there was no apparent increase in heat retention. This is a major concern for many, but Allswell’s topper stayed cool and comfortable.

Over all, we found this topper to be quite comfortable. It won’t change a rock hard bed into a mattress with deep body hug. But, If you are currently sleeping on one that is just a little too firm, this topper could make all the difference.
3″ Memory Foam Mattress Topper Infused with Graphite
Like the 4″ topper, the 3″ utilizes graphite infused memory foam for cooling. While not feeling quite as substantial as the 4″, we found this topper to offer a surprising amount of pressure relief. Side and back sleeping was quite comfortable. That said, our personal preference was still the 4″ topper that offered a bit more of a support feel. Still for the price, the 3″ is a really nice option.

4” Memory Foam Mattress Topper infused with Copper Gel (No Graphite)
Allswell offers a less expensive 4″ topper without the graphite infused foam. As expected, it had the same great contouring qualities but was not quite as cool to the touch. However, open celled foam allows for better air flow than traditional memory foam. unless you are an individual who sleeps extremely hot, you should experience limited heat retention issues.

Both 4″ models provide excellent pressure relief and significantly soften the overall feel of a mattress. The only difference of note is the additional cooling properties of the graphite infused model. Either choice can have a positive impact on your sleep comfort.
